Brazil Natal Property | Demand For Properties in Natal Brazil

The real estate market in Natal is now at a stage where investors are making a beeline to get in early and make handsome profits in years to come. Signs show that there is an enormous potential in the property segment in this enchanting part of Brazil. According to research conducted by NASA recently, the world’s cleanest air is in this part of Brazil. Pipa, one of the most famous beaches in Brazil, is less than a couple of hours drive away.

Natal serves as a popular tourist destination for the affluent Brazilians. With its pristine beaches, tropical climatic conditions throughout the year and average temperatures of about 27 degrees celsius, Natal is on its way to being amongst the top holiday destinations around the world. A fair amount of water sports and a variety of restaurants and bars have guests coming back more often than not.

The government of Brazil is keen to tap this potential and has spent over $200 million for improving infrastructure during recent times. Programs for further developments are also in the pipeline.

A large number of economists are of the opinion that in a few years’ time Brazil will become a hotbed for investing in property. With economic reforms within the country well underway, the country’s economic stability could witness rates of interest dropping significantly. While the Brazilian mortgage lending industry might be in its nascent form as of now, with a drop in rates of interest, a boom is expected in the lending industry, thereby resulting in the value of properties shooting up.

Seeing the potential for growth, large tourism and hospitality conglomerates such as the Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Club Med and Holiday Inn are pumping a fair amount of money into Natal’s property market. This is helping Natal grow and is also creating more jobs for the local community.

David Beckham, one of England’s most prolific football players, inaugurated the first ‘David Beckham World of Sport’ complex here in January, 2008. This is to be within a large resort, which will also house the ‘Ruben Barrichello Motor racing School’. Hollywood personalities Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas are lending their support in promoting Natal.

Approximately seventy million vacationers travel to Brazil each year. Out of these, 5% would want a second home here. Around 80,000 apartments and houses are to be built in the coming eight years within the north-eastern region, exclusively for foreigners.

Value of property has increased twofold within the last one year. A plan that was passed by President Lula in 2006 made a provision of 32% of the country’s fiscal surplus to be pumped into investments in the real estate market. Taxes on construction material have been reduced and interest rates have fallen from 25% to 12%, with no signs of slowing down.

With still some time to go before the real estate market in Natal is at its peak, and with a large part of the world facing a financial crunch, this is a good time to make a long-term investment in Natal.
